Large-caliber fun in Virginia

The forward-balanced firing position is necessary to counteract the formidable recoil of the weapon. This example was accurate enough for consistent 50m hits on a metal silhouette but penetration on 1/2″ thick steel was lacking. Might have to try teflon-coated bullits next time.

Ow! My shoulder aches just looking at the photo. How did you manage to absorb the punishing recoil without a padded shooting jacket?
Also…there’s a substance slicker than teflon out there…just need to figure out how to lube a bullit with the slime that oozes from MAIG.

  2. Ah, yes, the AR7 takedown sniper’s rifle in .25 caliber, just like James Bond used, with silencer and infrared telescopic sights.

Lots of fun that day. I’m glad one of those pictures turned out well enough to use.

Be careful with that thing…..British secret agents use those to shoot down helicopters….

I’m surprised that the muzzle isn’t threaded. Shouldn’t it be?
