Another 9mm option: Just Right Carbine

JRC was ostensibly designed as a traines for AR15 users. The manual of arms is much too different for that, but it seems quite useable as low-recoil home defense guns and for those who like “cowboy logistics”, the commonality of ammunition between carbine and sidearm. Both ejection and charging handle can be independently switched from right to left. Unfenced magazine release stays on the left. Stock and fire control are pure AR15, so’s the forend.

Top photo shows it in “muddy girl” pattern with YHM folding sights and Viridian X5L light/laser. Center and bottom photos in desert digital camo, with Midwest Industries folding sights and Primary Arms micro red dot on an American Defense QD mount. Insight M3 light completes the set-up. Both shown with 33rd Glock magazines because only the first outfit has room for spares and, in any case, longer magazines aren’t such a handicap for carbines as they are for pistols. And, yes, these are available in plain black.

    Really like that second shot.

Neat patterns on the gun’s aside, that is some GLORIOUS hair…might need to look at the guns, since I am pretty big of fan of ‘Cowboy Logisitics’. Already have .357 covered in both revolver and carbine, why not 9mm?

Of course, then I would need to get a Glock, since my CZ magazines wouldn’t work with this..

“Cowboy logistics” is why I’m so hot for a .45 ACP carbine, but there aren’t enough decent options. Everything’s a compromise.

  4. Don says:

Looks like “Dave” is in luck. They just put out 2 versions in. 45, one takes Glock mags, one takes 1911 mags.

    Sweet!

Interested in these as an alternate HD platform to the Ruger SR9C I carry or the 12g Double Defense we keep in the bedroom. They look good but every review I’ve found states that they are anemic ejectors.

Hrm might get one in 40SW. I have 2 keltech sub2Ks to go with glock 192 and a sub2k to go with glock 35 but I want to get something with more optics options and suppressor ready.

I will also be at the Porcupine Freedom Festival. You are welcome to come by and chat. My wife was the Appleseed Shoot Boss for some of the prevuois Appleseed events that occurred up there during the Fest. We may bring up some loaner rifles. We settled on Marlin 795s with stocks cut yo various lengths and various types of sites, some with Tech Sites. We have 5 of them. Inexpensive and accurate out of the box.Where will you be coming from? I live in NH but I did not come as part of the Free State Project. I got here in 1979.
