    The problem I have with the .22 conversions is the price. You can probably find a Ruger 22/45 for about the same cost and have a dedicated .22 trainer with the same grip angle and controls of the 1911.

    I still want one though. Last year a fellow club member let me shoot his converted 1911 he’d mounted a holosight on for shooting speed steel. Seriously fun.

      22/45 manual of arms differs from 1911. Now, several companies make dedicated rimfire 1911s, and I will cover those soon. Most cost more than the kits though.

        And one nice thing about these, no firearms transfer needed for the kit. That is key in states where you need to ask “mother may I” for every firearm.
