    Good one. It brings up a lot of possible variations. Place a bobbing balloon in front of a plate and try to hit the plate without hitting the balloon. All kinds of stuff.

    There is another thing that is important, but a bit more difficult to simulate in practice. That is the three dimensional aspect of your target and how that relates to shots from different angles. Big game hunters deal with this, but your regular IPSC targets do not.
