    If that picture was taken in the last few days then it is unlikely that buck will survive the coming winter even if he avoids all the hunters.

    Look how thin he is! You can see his ribs and he is gaunt around his haunches. This time of year he should have lots of fat on him.

    Shooting him would be a kindness instead of letting him die of cold and starvation.

    Concur. Too much rib on that deer for this time of year. He does have a nice basket rack though.
