I seldom connect with very young kids. This one, my niece, has enough personality at age one to actually be interesting.

    Just wait until you have one. Babies have emotions, and transmit them through the MOM interface, long before birth.

    As with Larry above, one’s perspective changes when the child in question is your own. I formerly joked about how I loved kids, if they were properly prepared; I now enjoy kids, especially if they are in a loving, disciplined family. Our youngest turned 21 this year.
