Dry fire practice with shotgun

Trying out a Primary Arms red dot attached to Saiga 12 through an Ultimak rail. Ear protection isn’t used until later, when live ammunition comes into use. Ten round magazine is by AGP.

What do you “shoot” when dry firing? I mostly use A-Zoom.

I mostly use an empty chamber. Can’t say I’ve dry fired it a million times, but in a Kalash, though the hammer does hit pretty hard, I’ve never known it to be an issue.
