   I have a 7.62X39. Made in Russia at Izmash. There is a reason WHY the AK family has dominated the world for almost 70 years, and why they will still be used in combat LONG after the “AR” is a forgotten footnote in a history book. They were designed from the outset to fight an arctic “motorized rifle” war under the worst possible conditions. I see no reason to reinvent the wheel every six months in order to “correct” some imagined flaw in the AK. I don’t know if this latest reinvention of the wheel will work out or not ; But I’ll bet a shiny penny that it will cost 2000+ USD , take the same mags and ammo as my carbine and otherwise offer nothing at all in the way of “improvement”. My first impression was ; “How to make a cheep plastic knock off AKMS look like a cheep plastic AR-15” . Since I HATE AR’s of all types and since I already have a real AK , I think I’ll pass.
