As war movies go, this one is fairly nuanced. The terrain and the people shown brings both Soviet and US incursions into Afghanistan.
I watched it on Netflix on a whim. Good movie.
Also, there were quite a few French weapons in there that I hadn’t seen/heard of before. Those fold-up SMG’s were neat.
