Canon T3 operation question

In live view, the screen seems proportional to the expected exposure. That’s useless in studio with flash.  Any idea how I could switch the LCD to display brighter images rather than the expected picture brightness?

  1. Matt says:

From what I can tell the T3i does not allow you to turn exposure simulation off. (The auto adjustment of the screen based on what the camera would see without external flash) The 5Diii and iv as well as some of the other bodies do allow this to be changed in the custom menus.

A possible workaround is to install magic lantern, it appears that they have solved the bug that didn’t allow for exposure comp to be deactivated in the T3i.

    Hope that helps.
