RDB-S prototype

16″ barrel, 26.1″ overall length with the stock extended — same length as M4 carbine collapsed, and with the same iron sight radius. Good trigger, not much felt recoil, weight 5.7lbs.The current version achieving 1.5MOA with 69gr match or 2MOA with 55gr and 62gr hunting loads is considered not good enough by the designer, so the production barrel will be better.  Bottom ejection, most controls ambidextrous, charging handle quick-swappable from side to side. For reference, the model is 5 feet tall. Availability expected Q1 of 2018.

I don’t like the look of the front site post. Looks like it would get snagged on pretty much anything.

Most use would probably be with some optic or other mounted on the rail.

    • Oleg Volk says:

It and the rear sight fold flat for transportation.

      • William Elliott says:

is the rear sight the proper height to use common rail mounted flip up BUIS front sights. I personally wouldn’t mind losing a couple inches of sight radius and gaining a threaded barrel.

        • Oleg Volk says:

You can always remove the front sight and put on a standard AR15 one on the rail. If using optics, especially, the irons become less relevant.

unfortunately it will not be in stock at your local dealer until 2027.

love their products, hate the wait.

  3. Antibubba says:

It looks CA compliant as far as the stock goes.
