One problem with carrying pistols with light/laser attachments is finding leather for them. Springtac offers a solution with their U-shaped IWB design.
The leather conforms to the thickness of the pistol. Vertical position of the pistol is controlled by the belt. It stops the grip from moving below the waistline.
The advantage of this design is the ability to go from a Glock with X5L to M1911 with TLR2 with the same holster. The holster can be carried straight or cross-draw for driving. The clip may be switched from side to side, for left or right handed use.
Hey Oleg,
During the coming months I’m going to be looking for a front wear cross draw holster for right handers, from a sub-compact carry length to a full slide 1911…..as well as an IWB small of back holster for SC but worn canted to the right for a non-ordinary draw style (arthritis precludes me from drawing normally from small of back….necessitates a palm outwards draw instead of normal reach around)…………..any help you could provide me in pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.
Thanks so much and I look forward to seeing more info on gun goodies (and your frames!)…..
Cheers,
Russell
From their website: “Think Glock, Springfield XD & XDM, Sig, FNH, most 1911’s with single or double stack clips, and Taurus. Most have double stack clips, 3 to 5 1/2″ barrels, and slide widths from 7/8″ to 1 1/4″”
Really, Clips? Really?

Love the minimalist design and the high quality soft leather. I own a wallet that looks to be of similar construction and I love it. I think I will be buying this holster.
On a side note, you’d think a company that designed such a sexy holster would be able to put together a website that doesn’t melt your eyes! Design is a philosophy, it should translate across mediums.
Their site is about to get a major revision.
The Kydex in a FIST K1 wraps around the pistol and is held by two screws below the trigger and two screws through a hard foam spacer below the barrel.
I have a K1 for my PM9, and I’ve found that by removing the foam spacer, it accomodates my Crimson Trace quite nicely.
How’s the retention? This rings the multi-fit alarm bells for me. Not discounting it, it just gives me pause.
Still playing around with it, but it seems fairly good as you have the leaf spring to keep it closed around the gun. The version shown has been re-designed since to keep the GLK Viridian model from auto activating.
