I like the Bersa UC. I bought one a while back in duotone. Its now my wife’s bedside gun, since she’s a Bersa Gal. Her regular carry is a little Bersa 380.

Funny thing… The Ultra Compact seems “loose”. It will actually make a little rattle noise if you shake it. You’d think it might be a problem but it shoots very accurately and never misses a beat. Eats any kind of ammo we’ve put through it.

I had one of those in .45 years ago. It was, ok. Only ok. I just prefered a 1911, so I sold it to my brother. It sits in my sister-in-law’s nightstand.

Considering that these sell for $380-390, not surprising it doesn’t equal a 1911.

Yeah… it’s kind of “apples and oranges” comparing the two, though. For the money, Bersa makes a fine gun. I’d get one of those lasers for my Wife’s gun, but I’d have to spend more on the laser than I did for the gun 🙂

Well, the gun that replaced it was a Charles Daly compact 1911. That cost about the same money, or less. Not the greatest gun, but it works. Always goes bang, and shoots to point of aim. It spend a lot of time in my glove box now.
