The manual of arms for the MKA1919 is half-way between AR15 and Sig556, a lot closer than that of other autoloading shotguns.

They say it’s “reasonably priced”, but they don’t quote a price, which always reads to me as “If you have to ask, you can’t afford it.”

Reliability isn’t as good as a traditional shotgun yet, certainly not at Rem870/Mossy500 levels.

But their popularity is growing with Open Division shooters in 3-gun, which is a good high stress testing place.

To me, the attraction is mostly in the quick, no-fumble loading and the low recoil. I can’t run an 870 in 12ga for very long and have to use a 20ga. But I can run auto shotguns all day long.

Large box magazines to not work well for long term storage of plastic hulled 12g rounds.

I would not compete with such a gun without reloading into brass hulls.
