The new compact camera is working out well

Panasonic GM5 image quality is a good step above cell phone photos. The user interface is decent, the viewfinder is usable — certainly better than the horrible pop-up finder of the Sony RX100. Very high frame rate was an unexpected bonus. It’s not as flat as I’d have liked it, and the bundled 12-32mm lens is slow…I am considering a 20/1.7 just to get away from grainy high ISO. But it was in my pocket today, while the bigger cameras were not.
