6.8mm SPC (Hornady HP shown here) is a pretty effective round. The bullet weight is twice of .223 and muzzle velocity isn’t that much lower.
6.8mm “Mean Green” with 4×32 ACOG is a nicely built rifle. It is comfortable to handle, has backup MI iron sights just in case, light/laser and a bipod. Its Magpul furniture is finished in a tastefully subdued candy apple green.

Nice. Never seen that color in factory furniture. She looks older than 13, guess it’s the serious look. Were the last two also 13?
The last two were 22. The rifle color is custom.
Do they make these in blood red too?
I have rifles in pink, blue, green, yellow, gray, tan, black, purple and various patterns. The only rifles with bright red stocks that I have seen are Crickett and some benchrest rifles.

Brookie started shooting when she was about 8 and her first handgun was a pink Walther P22 with a Red Dot scope. She then upgraded to a Gen4 Glock19 and a Mossberg 590 Shotgun for home defense. She went to Sterling Arsenal in Sterling, VA and custom designed this AR to her specs. She loves the color and this rifle. There is also an obvious reason that the folks at the NRA and SEG range(s) call her “Bullseye” Brookie… she’s pretty damn good!

6.8 is going to have a long, bright future. I can hardly wait to be reading about it in 10-15 years as America’s rifle caliber of choice.

At least I managed to come in late enough that the SPCII chamber was available and they’d opened up the rifling to 1:11.
