Re-loading a KSG

With the balance of the shotgun right over the pistol grip, reloading a KSG is different from a conventional pump gun but no harder. And it’s only necessary half as often.

I am open to recommendations on ways to conveniently carry 15 or more rounds of 12ga ammunition.

I sure hope he’s NOT reloading it with his finger on the trigger!

SASS tends to use belly belts:

This is worn above the regular belt. Since you are not feeding a Double, you probably want a full set of loops.

If someone was to make a nylon web version of this, they need to block the bottoms so the shells stick out for grabbing.

You can carry 15 rounds in the gun quite conveniently…
Sorry had a Bill Ruger moment there.

If a current chest or belt rig works for you use it. I didn’t hear anyone complaining about 8 round shotguns and a carrying a single full reload, why do you need a full reload with 15 in the gun now? Just carry the 6 or 8 you do now, you’re still up 7 or 8 rounds on a traditional defensive shotgun.

Check out the Load-Two belt from chameleon fabrics. I first saw this in a Noveske 3-Gun DVD and spent forever trying to figure out where to get one.

I’d go with California Competition Works shell trays, they are the fastest way to reload a shotgun with your weak hand. There are 4 and 6 round versions, and also ones with covers. The work great, and are much faster than belts or chestrigs with individual loops.
