Ummmm……put the camera down and get her a sammich or something.
She needs to put on some weight. Looks like a refugee from Buchenwald.
A Mosin might break her if she actually fired it.
Ya now, there is this lady by the name of Breda who is even smaller and blogs. Go tell her to make a sammich. I want to watch.
Don’t mind her habit of consistently putting rounds in the x-ring at 400+ yards with a .308.
As Dan said. That rifle would cause some damage to such a slim woman. Hell, they beat me up, and I am 6ft, 265lb. It is a cool picture however.
Given that she’s using a proper standing position for the rifle, as opposed to the one everybody copies off of TV, my bet will be on the lady.
I have a photo of my teeny-tiny daughter shooting a .44M. The ball of flame is larger than her head. She loved it, and is deadly accurate. Don’t underestimate women who are well trained with proper technique.
Tom, we need that pic.
You use what you’ve got.
Besides, the M39 has enough weight, and the stock is shaped right, so shooting ball isn’t bad at all.
Same woman firing this:

But, if Oleg will bring it to our next range trip, I’ll make sure we get a capture of me shooting it to be sure. You’re right, I should be believable. It’s not my problem I’m so incredible you can’t believe your eyes. Assuming it works and he has ammo.
*lovely eyeroll here*
🙂
How much extra storage (aka: fat) you carry has little bearing on how well your muscles can wield your weapon’s kickback. If anything it reduces your reaction time and slows you down during pursuit. I’ll play the skinny monk any day 🙂
I have both ball, light and heavy, and 45-grain 3200fps plastic-cored traning ammunition for this rifle. The kick is noticeable because it has less stock drop than the Russian variants and a heavier barrel — it recoils more back with less muzzle rise. A muscular lightweight shooter would sway back with the recoil rather than be dented by it.
*can’t wait* Can we video it? Do you have a cannon, too? 🙂 What would be an impressive challenge to demonstrate?
We did bring out a 10-pounder howitzer last summer…

I’m wondering where did these trogs come from?
Deliberate trolls, I assume. Or are they really that stupid?
I’ve seen an average-built maybe 12-year-old boy shoot mag after mag through an HK41 – sitting.
And some guys are worried about an adult woman shooting an M39 standing?
I have a female friend who is probably thinner than April appears in the photos. We have been to the shooting range and I’ve seen her shoot. Believe me, she can shoot handguns or rifles quite well. In body armor, she prefers the M4 to the M16, but she can certainly handle most any gun handed to her. When she went to Afghanistan, I was afraid for Hadji, not her. Thinking a small, slight female can’t shoot is making a possibly fatal mistake.
