Where to Go for Good Pastries in Nashville?

Since the demise of Alpha Bakery, the only passable source of baked good seems to be the French Bakery (Provance?) on 21st Ave. Are there any other good options, especially closer to Hermitage?

I’ve actually wondered this myself. I’ve also wondered if Hong Kong style baked goods would have any market in Nashville. The wife and I have kicked around the idea of starting such a place.

Yes – Dot’s baking at home! (You’ve already sampled that, of course.)

Ditto on Becker’s, it’s up between donelson pike and mcgavock, been there for forever (my mom worked there when she was going to two rivers high school). Publix isn’t bad, but not nearly the same feel.
