Storm 9mm carbine has little recoil and is easy to configure for left or right hand ejection. One of my friends has an article about it coming up, I will link it once ready.
Primary Arms makes a pretty good compact light for not much money.
Italian designers are, IMO, the best in the world. Unfortunately, a weapon is not the same as a Ferrari and the wacky stock design here is a turn off.
Also a big plus for 9mm Carbines is if you load them with subsonic 147 grain loads they are almost as quiet as a suppressed 9mm pistol.
One big thing to think about if you have it as a home-defense gun.
Wrong! No way in hell it would be as quiet as my suppressed M&P 9
Great tip on the flashlight–that is a good deal and even with shipping it’s $3 cheaper from PA than from Amazon w/o shipping. Thanks, Oleg.

I have had a Storm for many years. 10s of thousands of rounds through it. Everytime I take it to the range, a few hundred rounds get shot up. One of the best empty brass makers ever. Everyone I have every let shoot it love it. Even first time shooters. Several have bought one for them selves.
The .45 shares mags with the (full size) Beretta/Stoeger Cougar. Very nice combo.
I wish Beretta would sell the tooling and dies to Stoeger so I could afford one of these in a less pricey version.
You get what you pay for. It is worth the price.
My first gun and I loved it. Incredibly accurate just through the iron sights.
Then the NY Unsafe act came along and I refuse to register it so I sold it.
FUAC.
The right answer (but, unfortunately, also the hard answer) is to move to a civilized state. NH is a nearby option, or VT.
