Best cure is prevention, but…

…if avoiding psychos doesn’t work, then shooting them would have to do.

Statistically, women are at greatest personal risk of murder or aggravated battery when they leave abusive relationships. So don’t compound bad judgment in picking mates by choosing to go unarmed and untrained. Most abusive mates don’t gravitate towards those who can defend themselves, though exceptions do occur. Going armed, especially in a situation where the enemy is inside the home, doesn’t guarantee safety. Going unarmed, however, all but guarantees victimization if the mate or ex-mate is inclined to violence.

I recommend Cornered Cat for more info.

  2. Thanks a lot!

After I read all the papers by UN, Terre des femmes and Small Arms Survey I made “avoiding female victims” also my goal.

The above mentioned want to disarm all men. I want to arm women and their male friends who are law abiding citizens and disarm only individuals with a violent and criminal history.

You must remind: I am European – where arming people is the worst somebody could say. We do not have supporters, not in science, not in the medias, not in the political parties.

As a former Dutchman, I know exactly what you mean. I emigrated well before I learned about guns, but I do know that talking about guns will get you strange looks there. Not to mention the fact that the police know nothing about guns, and especially not about gun safety.

Perhaps not. Latest gun-ban attempt(2013) on the EC level was preceded by a opinion poll on what people wanted. Turned out population is content with the present level of regulation, and prioritised anti-gang and smuggling activities.

So, of course, the results of the survey were ignored.

I blame women getting the suffrage for this. Men are way more reasonable on guns, in my experience women just dislike the idea of a weapon. Of course, most women can't imagine needing or using weapons. No doubt the situation is going to be different by 2050, when Europe is half black and halfway to African levels of violence..

  3. Forgot to say: Cornered Cats book just arrived today 😉
