    As the saying goes, those who would accuse me of “compensating” are exactly right – I am “compensating” for my inherent inability to sling a small piece of metal at hundreds, if not thousands, of feet per second. If I could do that, I would not carry a firearm :).

    Bloody artists. They can uglify anything. Camo guns in hands of people who don’t wear camouflage for a living …. that’s just wrong. Like drinking warm milk or something.
    Camo is ugly. Guns are mostly nice to look at. Why make them ugly?

    Now a fractal laser engraving on a black or stainless steel gun, that’d be something else. That I’d pay money for.

    Anyway.. good poster. RPG glasses are not that good, but that’s a minor detail.

    Thanks. The duracoat looks very interesting. The camo… let’s just skip that. I now some people fetishize the stuff, going on about what’s best, etc, but it leaves me as cold as the topic of SUV’s or sport cars. What’s the use? Animals we hunt hardly ever have sight as good as we, and camo won’t mask the smell.

    I’m not interest in camo(not ever likely to need it), but in say, finding a way of improving the way a gun looks. Like some guns are engraved, but that usually has kitschy motives and is very expensive. Fractals .. let’s just say they look cool.

    Camo isn’t the same thing. This’d require sub milimeter precision, maybe .1 mm precision, very thin lines. I don’t think galt’s guns does stuff like that.

    If they can print a bitmap onto a rifle, that could work, though the resolution isn’t clear from the pictures, and on a pistol I wouldn’t settle for less than ten pixels/lines per mm..

    Only a computer guided laser or similar process could do that economically. Arms factories around here often have laser engraving facilities but I don’t know what they can do.

    Galt’s guns is unfortunately also too far away in terms of both red tape and physical distance..

    On second thought.. good choice of subject.. for the topic. She looks kind of fragile. How tall is she? 5’3″?

    P.S. you are missing a ‘t’ in the heading of this post.

        5’5″ and 110 lbs. Is she healthy? No hormonal irregularities? I’m just curious, there’s this friend I have who at 19 was about the same size and had pretty unusual hormonal problems, that in the long term would leave her with osteoporosis and other bad stuff.
