What short sight radius!?

AK rifles are generally faulted for short sight radius. With Tech Sights, that’s no longer true. Their solution is a rock-solid rear aperture attached to the receiver, not to the dust cover. Dis-assembly is by removing a cross-pin. I first encountered Tech Sights sights on 10-22 rifles at Appleseed training events. They are the standard sight upgrade there.

I think it’s a worthwhile upgrade. They make two versions, one with a single aperture and another with a two-aperture flipper.

You can’t make a racehorse out of a pig, but you can make a damned fast pig.

Um, where’s the little doodad you push to take the cover off? Is there a different way to do that included?

If folks will RTFA (read the fine article), they will find that you push in the pins on each side. This should make the top cover MUCH more “indexed”.. IE, if you put a rail there, it ought to be in the same darn place every time.

I am debating a set of these on my AK. It’s either go this way, or some manner of scope.
