Looks like a male House Finch.

  2. Ed says:

Bob’s correct a male house finch.

  3. James says:

I’ll third that…..common male house finch. I have several of them that hang out in my back yard everyday at the feeder. They’re very active birds.

    Had to do this.
From Monty, “No no he’s not dead, he’s, he’s restin’! Remarkable bird, the Norwegian Blue, idn’it, ay? Beautiful plumage!”

    • drone says:

      This is an ex-finch.

      • Sid says:

He’s not pinin’! He’s passed on! This finch is no more! He has ceased to be! He’s expired and gone to meet his maker! He’s a stiff! Bereft of life, he rests in peace! If you hadn’t nailed him to the perch he’d be pushing up the daisies! His metabolic processes are now history! He’s off the twig! He’s kicked the bucket, he’s shuffled off his mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-FINCH!!
