I just returned from a four-day handgun course at Front Sight in Nevada. The review of the course and the equipment used in it is coming soon. For now, I’d like to talk about food.
The Fat Greek was superb, every bit as good as It’s Greek To Me in Minneapolis. Be ready for very large portions.
Kaizen, a very cozy and unusual Asian fusion restaurant run by my friend Nick was beyond superb. They have the freshest fish I ever had, some of it delivered live. The rolls were so delicious that death by gluttony is a real possibility.
The trouble with Kaizen is that now there’s no point in me even bothering with sushi in Nashville…I am unlikely to get anything even remotely comparable to the delicious treats crafted by Nick’s sushi chef. If you happen to be in Vegas for SHOT Show or any other reason, this place is a must-see.
And I discovered that there is sushi that I like!
I haven’t been there in a while, but Samurai Sushi Bar on Elliston has had “so fresh it’s still twitchin'” style sushi if you want that sort of thing.
There is such a thing as “too fresh”, though.
