Simpler in design than Mateba Unica semi-auto revolver, Rhino feels much better balanced. DA trigger is fairly smooth, single is odd (lots of take-up), fiber optic sights are easy to see. I didn’t have the opportunity to fire it but would like to do so at the first opportunity.
I am really curious about the purpose of the rail under the barrel? Is it for a bipod? Seems like it would tear up holsters on the draw.
Same reason as on a semi-auto, hang a light.
Yup! Alot of people use revolvers for home defense, might as well be able to hang a TLR-1 or a Viridian under there like you would on a home defense Glock.
The grip ergo looks like crap. How does it sit in your hand? I must admit, its an intruiging design, but whats the POA vs POI on that? Surely a good gunsmith could remove the SA takeup.
The grip looks odd but fit my hand perfectly. This gun feels in hand much like Olympic pistols do.
Got some trigger time on two different Rhinos at SHOT Show this year. It fit my hand perfectly and when loaded with mixed 38 Special and 357 Magnum rounds I was impressed with the lack of any perceived difference in front sight reacquisition. While I could tell the difference between the two, the much greater power of the 357 Magnum round did not seem to translate in much greater muzzle rise as it would in most pistols. Definitely give one a try, interesting weapon!
Hmm. Looks like the web of the hand is right in line with the bore. Nice. Fired chamber and cylinder gap also much closer to firing hand. Maybe not so nice in the event of a kaboom.
Oh dear GOD I covet one of these SO HARD!!! My local shop has a 2″ snubbie, and it may be (at least for me) The MOST ergonomically perfect hand gun I have ever held. I have a major thing I do every year coming up in July/August, but, If it’s still there after that, I may be taking 4 or 5 of my extraneous firearms down there and seeing how much in credit I can get for them to bring the price down to something I can afford…
