Direct X problem?

Tried to run a video card benchmark, got this message:

3DMark 11 has found DirectX 11 system files, but your graphics adapter reports that it supports only Direct X 10_1. 3DMark 11 requires both DirectX 11 system files and DirectX 11 capable hardware to run. If you are certain that you have DirectX 11 hardware present, there may be a problem with your video drivers. See 3DMark 11 FAQ for more information.
I am using ASUS ATI Radeon HD4800. No idea where to from here. Suggestions?

    The 4800 is a pretty old card. If you must run this benchmark or really need 11 or 11.1 features you need something much newer. A 7850 would make a nice all around upgrade without breaking the bank, but I’m not sure where the current perf/$ puts it versus other options.

    Per the internet (and they can’t put it on the internet if it is not true), Radio HD 4800 series GPUs are limited to DX10.

    I guess the question is, what’s your goal? Benchmarks can be fun and all, but generally you run it a couple of times with different settings, and then never run it again.

    The integrated graphics in your A10-6700 should be new enough to run the benchmark, and may even give such an old discrete card like the 4800 a run for its money.

    Yeah – the Radeon 48xx series does not have DX11 compatible hardware. The Radeon HD5xxx series is first generation to support DX11.

    And ChrisJ is right, the GPU in your A10 APU should be a strong competitor to that HD4800, if not surpassing it. It does support DX11, and it’s equivalent to a HD8670D.
