Ow. Please tell me that was pictured without a buttpad just to show construction detail. Because unless the recoil system violates the laws of physics, that’s gotta hurt.

    • LarryArnold says:

Notice the aggressive muzzle brake. And pray.

      • Bear says:

Notice the hard, squared off, unpadded butt. The muzzle brake can’t help with the initial recoil while the 647-800 grain lump of lead is moving down the barrel at two or three thousand fps. Granted, that’s minor compared to the full recoil that the brake does help compensate, but still… I’d hope that the rifle ships with something to at least round off the butt edges.

(Other than that, this definitely appeals to me.)

Having been offset at and about 20 feet behind a .50BMG rifle and felt the deflected gas from the brake, I’d be real antsy with having that brake that close to my face.

    • Will says:

I think that is the purpose of the angled plate behind the brake, to give your head a bit of clear air. Haven’t seen that on a std rifle version of the .50bmg before.
