Wireless noise-cancelling headset recommendation needed

I am looking for a headset for the following:

  • Talking on the phone hands-free (needs a microphone option)
  • Listening to to music or watching movies on a plane
  • Listening to music from desktop at home

I looked at Samsung Level Over, but preferred batteries would be AA or AAA, not built in and non-replaceable. Suggestions?

I use a turtle beach, both at home and at my office. They make several good headsets, but all of them have built in batteries. I use a PC gaming headset at work, and get 5-6 hours of talk time out of it per charge.

I don’t think a Bluetooth headset is legal on commercial aircraft. I use an Etymotic Research noise blocking wired headset on planes. I also use it under electronic earmuffs when I’m at a range by myself. I use the iPhone version, but there is no model number on mine and I got it years ago. The mike has pretty good noise cancelling, as I use it in our data center with the high noise level from the hvac and ps fans and people have no issues understanding me, unlike when I try to use the iPhone by itself.

iPhone ear buds work really well and Skullcandy has a decent headset with a mic as well.
