Whats the NFA regulations on the shotgun with the vertical fore grip.

    • Linoge says:

The shotgun is the same as the one in the previous post, just with its stock folded to the left and hidden by the receiver (so the shooter did not end up clocking himself in the face).

All NFA regulations apply as for a short-barreled shotgun.

Do any of your pictures show the fireball out of that shotgun? Good catch on Blaine’s shot. That shotgun shooter is one ugly person.

  3. camtec says:

Blair, Blair, Blair- got it. At my age names escape me, but I never forget a pretty lady. Oleg, the picture with the fireball came up on FB. I just missed it.

    • Blair says:

Was mostly complaining at Oleg, not you :). I’m pretty sure he’s the source of any name confusion on this trip.

That Saiga is almost a Seburo Gong!
    *WANT!*

I’m always interested in solutions to the short sight radius of AKs. Is the rear sight in the first picture just attached to the dust cover like a Galil, or somehow more soundly attached to the receiver?

    • Linoge says:

In this particular case, that is the Tromix rear sight base with H&K rear sights, all of which is just welded onto the dustcover. Given how much it wiggles even without being shot, I make absolutely no guarantees about holding zero or anything of the sort, but folks have had no problems clearing a berm of clay targets with them at 15ish yards, so there is that.

For zero-retainability, I would recommend something like the Patterson Weaponry Dustcover “Ears”, but in this application, that just seems rather excessive :).
