Just got a note forwarded to me by Keltec about this web banner:

“Your ad performed the best.”

And the opinion of the marketing firm:

“The top performing 300×250 ad is (shown above). I think the guys like the girl in the ad.”

    With regard to “the guys like the girl”, I suggest that this is because, contrary to what a lot of marketting types seem to think, shoving bikini-clad, silicon-laden bimbos at us gets to be tiresome and even insulting.

    I’d take a Danica, clad in a nice outfit, over a whole pack of centerfold wannabe’s any day.

      I agree, but comparing Danica to bimbos is like saying that a nice piece of apple pie beats a kick in the teeth! The superiority of one option over the rest is just too obvious.

        OK, no Danica, either. How about Janet Napolitano? She’d have to be positioned at the business end of the KSG, of course, but I bet that would sell a lot of them, too.

    Given the well-hyped changes in gun owner demographics in recent years, the marketing firm might want to consider that it may well not be just guys who like the girl in the picture.
