what is the caliber of the Savage? Is that the normal scope height?

  2. I love my Savage MkII. I shoot it almost every time I go to the range.

Them old Marlins ain’t worth nothin’ but I’ll give you…..
Seems like a lot of scope for a .22.(This from a guy who put 3X9 variables on 10/22’s. Hey:ya run whatcha brung!

Sometimes, it makes sense to over-scope a .22 — the ranges may be small, but so are the kill zones on edible varmints.

  4. Stig says:

Yeah, the scope on the savage looks awfully tall. I do like my scopes to be as low as possible, in a bolt gun.

    STIG:)
