Little Red
Could you guess her age from the photo?
Jewelry for guns
People buy jewelry for others to make them feel better and happier. Often, jewelry indicates commitment. Replacement triggers are similar to that: they are small, somewhat expensive and make your interaction with the gun more pleasant. Apex trigger for Smith&Wesson … Continue reading

Short, handy, reliable enough for 3-gun competition
PLR16 pistol with SU16 rifle stock. Registered as a short-barreled rifle. Vortex red dot, Magpul furniture and Red Lion Precision forend complete it.
Any idea what this painting by Dean Cornwall shows?
Saw it today in Orlando. Seems to show a Mauser or a 1903 used with round nose bullets, and a pistol with no rear light and hammer down, held by a man who is OK with losing an eye to … Continue reading
A great trainer for new shooters
Keltec PF9 with Twisted Industries .22 conversion kit. As you can see, even 22LR produces a considerable amount of muzzle blast. A typical 22LR round holds one grain of powder, while 9mm Luger is closer to six — the difference … Continue reading
85 degrees F in sunny Cocoa, FL today
And I found myself wishing for more clouds for my photo shoot. Every time I come to Keltec, the most interesting variants of their guns come from the trunks and desk drawers of the employees. This one is no different, … Continue reading

“Classic” 1911
Everyone kept telling me to get a Mac, so I did.

The right to self-defense in New York City?
The endgame of oppression is usually somewhere between the psychotic mass murders of the Nazi Germany or Pol Pot’s Cambodia and the more pragmatic feudalism we see now in Russia and New York City. The retiring Mayor Blomberg — famous … Continue reading

Photos for publications
These images were all made for print magazines. Most were published, some were not — now you can see them all here. Czechpoint .357 revolver. Higher left hand position would have been nice. One reason to try to flee: handgun … Continue reading
Loaner mousguns needed.
I’d like to borrow a Browning Baby (or the similar .25 Colt, Beretta) and any flavor of NAA Mini revolver in 22LR for a test firing in Nashville. Anyone?
This is why I like Boberg XR9
The gun is small, light, has a good trigger and very low recoil. First, I tried it on paper. Rapid fire from 21ft shows lack of trigger control on my part, I am still not used to DAO triggers. That … Continue reading
