ZK-22: a neat bullpup stock for 10-22
Saw many awesome new things at the bullpup shoot, but this one was by far the most fun: it’s a bullpup stock for 10-22 with just about perfect ergonomics and balance. The actual stock in the photos was 3D printed. … Continue reading
Iver Johnson Sealed 8 revolver
Model 844, 1950s production. The backs of the chambers are recessed to enclose the case heads, which isn’t a bad idea with rimfire cartridges. The front of the cylinder is extended to reduce the forcing cone flash. Ejection of all … Continue reading
Rimfire trainer guns
Ever since I got to shoot a suppressed GSG1911-22 in Nevada, I wanted to have on on hand. Rimfire trainer guns were extremely useful then and they have become even more useful since the price of ammunition gone up so … Continue reading
Today’s range trip.
Grace wanted more trigger time with her laser-equipped LCR. Ended up trying that, S&W 317 and 63 rimfire revolvers, a quiet Walther P22, Kel-tec PF9-22, Star S (.32ACP quasi-1911), HK P7, Kahr P9 and the SU22 shown here. Star S … Continue reading

Good weather makes range time that much better.
Rimfire STG44. Cutts compensator doing its job well. Mike, obviously compensating for something. (Photo by Mike Branson) Full report on Savage mkII-SR, JRC 9mm, STG44, Henry .22 and others coming a little later.
When zombies come, I want her on my fire team
The target was at about 20 yards when she fired on it. The zombie now has four more eyes-sockets in its skull. Special Delivery target | Walther P22 | TAC65 can The ear protection was against the noise made by … Continue reading

A good fight in a bad cause.
Watching TSA, DEA, FDA and the rest of the alphabet soup agencies gear up their own little armies brings this picture to mind. Not the trained, well-fed and utterly self-serving bureaucrats who do evil for a paycheck, but the naive … Continue reading
Bella Ciao, now with greater range
I am continuing to have fun with the new rimfire STG44.

Sturmgewehr
Had Brady Campaign and their ethically deficient ilk been around during WW2, they would have pushed for the disarmament of the guerrillas and other civilians…while turning a blind eye to massacres perpetrated by government troops and their pet paramilitaries. STG44, … Continue reading

More fun than practical.
That’s about high heels. The carbine itself is fairly practical, especially with a red dot installed. Fire can be commenced once eye and ear protection are added.
New favorite rifle?
This has long been my favorite recreational rifle. With AAC Aviator suppressor on the long barrel, it’s very quiet. 4x Leupold scope allows pretty good aim from up close to about 100 yards. But it has one giant disadvantage for … Continue reading
