Accurate rifles deserve good ammunition
Now that I finally learned to shoot rifle, I am starting to appreciate the difference between bulk milsurp and better varieties. I am by no means a sniper but 2MOA ball and half-MOA match behave visibly different even at a … Continue reading
Another little CZ527 carbine
This 527 Varmint carbine has a heavier barrel and turns in 0.4MOA groups with handloads. Obviously, that is with a skilled shooter behind the gun. My friend’s father is such a shooter.
CZ527, the beautiful little performer
Nice wood, excellent single set trigger. Not my gun, unfortunately. I borrowed it from a friend’s father. The father shoots it with handloads and gets consistent 1MOA groups with it. He uses it without a bipod, I added that just … Continue reading
A petite bolt action rifle

A special day, 23rd squared
Today, is a special day for me, it’s the 23rd anniversary of coming to the United States. Was a pretty good day, mostly spent taking photos of Remington shotguns, tactical and sniper rifles for several magazines. Good weather, a range … Continue reading

A contemplative shooter
Today, several of my friends went for a shooting walk out to another friend’s farm. I love being able to continue chatting without plugs or muffs being required, shooting at clays and targets of opportunity all the while.
Mauser rifle and matching tshirt
Yugoslav 7.92mm Mauser with a couple of non-obvious customizations: Timney trigger and U-notch instead of v-notch rear sight. Neat tshirt from 1791 Apparel.

Bad day for the squirrels.
Marlin XT22 with Trijicon 1-4x scope. Neat rifle with great trigger. I also really like the clarity of the scope.
M39 Finnish Mosin
Shown with a typical Finnish marksman. For those who hand-load 7.62x54R for maximum accuracy, I recommend my friend John’s Western Bullet Co. as the source of reloadable brass. Most .312 bullets work well in these.
Sniper traning
McCann MIRS rail | Sniper Pro Shop training Sniping requires good physical condition. Instructor Denny. Denny’s Remington 700 in .308. Leupold scope on MIRS mount. Firing off-hand on a moving target.

VERY accurate rifles
300gr @ 2900fps, 0.3MOA — and reasonable recoil thanks to an effective muzzle brake. More photos soon. Guns created by Michael Meador of EFI, LLC.
