FN57 pistol is second only to High Point and some WW2 Japanese designs in full-out industrial ugliness. However, it is accurate, holds a useful number of rounds and, once sound-suppressed, comfortable to fire. This one is a part of the beauty and the beast pairing, with the beauty being its owner, one of my models.
YHM .308 suppressor on a .223 rifle with quick-detachable barrel (since he doesn’t own a .223 can yet), Magpul BUIS, stock and Ranger plate. Normally, he uses a CCA light foregrip, but I replaced it with Viridian C5 for my needs. 1.5x ACOG is the primary sight. To my mind, this rifle would be a great candidate for a 300BLK barrel as it would make better use of the .30 caliber suppressor without much increasing the recoil. The rifle would be a lot quieter that way and throw twice as much lead per shot.

This 10 year old girl has taken multiple courses at Front Sight and can run a Glock, a 1911 and an Uzi.
Keltec views RMR30 as a hunting and plinking carbine. It can be that, but I see it more as a home defense rifle for people who cannot hold up a heavy rifle or deal with much recoil. From a 16″ barrel, 22wmr works reasonably well. At ~2000fps 40 grain JHP penetrates 9″ in gelatin and expands to about .47″, while ball just makes a 20″ deep straight hole. Not as impressive as true rifle calibers but greatly superior to .22LR normally recommended for invalids. The lack of perceptible recoil means rapid followups from the 30-shot magazine. Weight is 4.2 lbs loaded (M1 carbine is 6.1 lbs).
Michael Kassnar of Trans World Arms holds the semi-auto Tavor. An improved version of it will be produced in the US later this year. I really like that the field-stripping yields just two major sub-assemblies without any loose small parts.
This CMMG piston rifle is special to me because much of it was designed by my friend Bernie White — the same man who designed the original Desert Eagle pistol. When Bernie designs something, it usually works well because he has a rare degree of understanding of things mechanical. He knows rather than guesses what happens inside the gun. The Desert Eagle as originally designed was a whole pound lighter than the current version and meant to be a carry pistol for hunters. The original chamberings were .357, .44 and .41 Magnum, with .50AE appearing later along with the beefier slide.
The main sight is the illuminated Nightforce 1-4x compact. It can be used with both eyes open at 1-1.5x power and as a conventional scope at higher magnification. I also want all my serious rifles to have backup iron sights, but it’s not possible to co-witness a scope and irons. This rifle has offset Dueck Defense sights that go around the scope on the right (but can be reversed to go on the left also).
Since I hope to suppress all my rifles eventually, having an adjustable gas regulator is a big help in reducing the amount of blowback and eliminating overpressure.
Like most things designed by Bernie, this piston assembly is robust and fairly simple. I am looking forward to getting more rounds through this gun with less cleaning than usual.
I find tracers extremely helpful for longer range handgun training and so quite willing to promote Buddy Singleton and SBR Ammunition.

Production KSG runs 3″ shells, so its capacity is nominally 12+1. With 2.75″ shells it holds 14+1. This one has a muzzle set up for chokes, brakes, breaching stand-off devices. The light “dashes” on top of the magazine tube are witness holes for keeping track of the ammo supply.
