Dazzle camouflage in everyday life
Dazzle camouflage was developed for warships during WW1. Recently, I found a purse that uses the same principle. Made by Gun Tote’n Mamas, it holds a small or medium pistol in an internal holster.

Monsters under her bed…
…are useful for illustrating the Castle Doctrine. We don’t have to take imaginary creatures seriously, but it helps to have a plan in case real fiends show up. GCode | Beretta
Make your one shot count!

Keltec KSG, a fine hunting shotgun.
Clarification, a hunting shotgun for dangerous game. A wild boar might kill you, but only zombies can turn you undead with one bite. As an additional plus, the gun can be carried easily with one hand. The other arm would … Continue reading

Continue reading

vz61 Scorpion
Tirzah came to Nashville to do make-up for the zombie shoot and stayed to model. Much as I like the zombies, I think she steals the show from the pistol. Props provided by Czechpoint.
Gun Tote’n Mamas
Gun Tote’n Mamas make holster purses. The advantage of off-body carry is the ability to conceal larger guns.
Small form, big power: PLR16
PLR16 is a .223 pistol designed for short and medium range hunting and self-defense. For reactive shooting, it’s typically stabilized by pushing out against the sling. For longer range, use a bipod or some improvised support. 9.2″ barrel provides muzzle … Continue reading

New quad rail for Keltec Sub2000
The original quad rail for Sub2000 had a bit of flex in it. While sights installed on it seemed to keep zero, it didn’t inspire confidence. Keltec updated the rail and the new version is rock-solid. I tried a 45* … Continue reading

Soap, water and a couple minutes of your time (New version)
An update of an older video done for Anderson Manufacturing. I updated the audio based on the advice received. RF85
Shooting well at age 11.
Went to the range with friends today. Tried their guns and let them try mine. Fond out, for example, that .223 soft points don’t feed well from GI magazines but work just fine from PMags. (Firing on clays set up … Continue reading
Range report…tomorrow
Went to On Target (turn off speakers before clicking — loud sound effects on that site) range today. Shot indoors for the first time in a year and it was a nice experience. Friendly and helpful staff, good ventilation and … Continue reading
An interesting short film
Land of the Free. Curious to see DHS presented as the Gestapo was shown in the 1950s films. The portrayal of the resistance is very reminiscent of the French treatment of their own history.
