Help me find a new informal range

Usually, I shoot on farms that belong to friends. That’s perfect for teaching new shooters, as nobody else shoots near us, reactive targets like clays are possible, and photography is easy.

The problem is that one of these farms is an hour from me, the other an hour and a half. They aren’t always available. I’d like to find additional locations near Hermitage (Nashville), TN where I would be welcome to shoot (even if it’s just a short range with suppressed .22s) and/or take photos. If you have a location like this or know someone who does, please help me out.

Pint-sized AR15

Jackie is 5’1″. One of the two teen-sized rifles made for me by Doublestar fit her perfectly. Although she’s shot AKM47 before, she said those were rather large and heavy. Fitting the rifle to her stature ought to make for a more enjoyable range trip.

Dazzle camouflage in everyday life

Dazzle camouflage was developed for warships during WW1. Recently, I found a purse that uses the same principle. Made by Gun Tote’n Mamas, it holds a small or medium pistol in an internal holster.

Blue

This pair of pretty blue eyes has longer range than any battleship turret. At least she can reach South Carolina from Ohio.

Monsters under her bed…

…are useful for illustrating the Castle Doctrine.

We don’t have to take imaginary creatures seriously, but it helps to have a plan in case real fiends show up.

Retro photographer

Of all the steampunk accessories, the one I expected the least was a Nikon FE film camera with a Vivitar 28-90 varifocal lens. In addition to looking neat, apparently this contraption allows Etienne to make photos by chemical voodoo performed over a strip of silvered gelatine. Weird.
